# RStudio Server Debian Package Build for Raspberry Pi

This dockerhub repository is the second stage of a multi-stage build process:

1. arturklauser/raspberrypi-rstudio-build-env⁠ creates a build environment to compile RStudio Server and Desktop for Raspberry Pi
2. arturklauser/raspberrypi-rstudio-server-deb⁠ builds the RStudio Server Debian Package for Raspberry Pi * To extract the Debian package from the docker image run
   docker image save arturklauser/raspberrypi-rstudio-server-deb | tar xO --wildcards '*/layer.tar' | tar x
3. arturklauser/raspberrypi-rstudio-desktop-deb⁠ builds the RStudio Desktop Debian Package for Raspberry Pi
4. arturklauser/raspberrypi-rstudio-server⁠ creates a runtime environment for RStudio Server on Raspberry Pi using the RStudio Server built above

Image tag names are :rstudio_version-debian_version, e.g. :1.2.5033-buster is RStudio v1.2.5033 compiled for Debian 10 (Buster).
Images ending in -buildx are created with docker edge's (19.03.0-beta3) experimental buildx --platform linux/arm/v7 cross-build support.
Images ending in -bullseye, for Debian 11 (Bullseye), are experimental since there is no official OS release yet for this version.
