⁠Mail Catcher

This docker image launches an instance Mail Catcher⁠ that can be used to view email delivered in development.

⁠Setup

The Docker Image opens two ports:

• smtp 1025
• http 1080

In your rails application, configure the actionmailer to point to the smtp://{docker_container_ip}:1025

config/environments/development.rb

config.action_mailer.delivery_method = :smtp
config.action_mailer.smtp_settings = {address: 'localhost', port: 1025}

⁠Usage

All email will be delivered to Mail Catcher. You can now view any email delivered at http://localhost:1080⁠
