This container is based off of an alpine image
To start the container it is required to specify the metrics endpoint via the EN_METRIC_ENDPOINT environment variable. To specify multiple endpoint seprate each with a colon, ":". The example below specifies multiple endpoints.
An optional envrionment variables is EN_NOREALTIME. This environment variable will disable looking for enabled realtime statistics, resulting in 5 minute averages.
Usage example: docker run -d -e "EN_METRIC_ENDPOINT=graphite:datadog:appdynamics_http" --name avimetrics --restart always --log-opt max-size=1m avinetworks/avi-metrics:latest
Available Endpoints:
To add your controllers to the script, you'll need to modify a json file.
Example json
{"controllers":[ { "avi_controller":"169.254.0.1", "location":"dc1", "environment":"prod", "avi_user":"user", "_comment":"ACCEPTS PLAIN TEXT OR BASE64 ENCODED PASSWORD", "avi_pass":"dGVzdA==" }, { "avi_controller":"169.254.0.2", "location":"nj", "environment":"dev", "avi_user":"user", "_comment":"ACCEPTS PLAIN TEXT OR BASE64 ENCODED PASSWORD", "avi_pass":"test" }] }
To modify the endpoint information (influx, graphite, splunk, datadog, appdynamics) modify the relevant file within /usr/src/avi/.
