Gekko is a Bitcoin trading bot and backtesting platform that connects to popular Bitcoin exchanges. It is written in javascript and runs on nodejs.

#To run
docker run -d -v /docker/mounts/gekko/history:/usr/src/gekko/history -v /docker/mounts/gekko/config.js:/usr/src/gekko/config.js --name gekko barnumd/gekko

This runs gekko with your specified config.js file and mounts a volume for database persistence.

#To configure
Edit the sample-config.js (found on github askmike/gekko) or in the container. Place your edited config file under your /docker/mounts/gekko folder (or wherever you'd like to store that sort of thing.)

#Configure redis plugin
Start a redis docker container (See redis page)
add --link redis:redis to the docker run line.

Configure the gekko config.js for redis (

  • enabled=true
  • host: redis
Docker Pull Command
