⁠What is This?

This is a direct build of Joe Yates' imap-backup tool for aarch64 architecture, built according to the official document⁠ present in the repository.

⁠What's imap-backup?

imap-backup is a sophisticated tool for backing-up, restoring and migrating e-mail accounts over IMAP⁠.

⁠How to Build the Container?

Since docker and podman has some command line differences, the procedure for building the container is as follows:

git clone https://github.com/joeyates/imap-backup
cd imap-backup
cp container/.containerignore .dockerignore
docker build --file container/Containerfile --label imap-backup:latest .

This should take around 5 minutes depending on your network and device speed.

⁠Running the Container

To run a single backup, you can use

docker run -v ./my-data:/data -ti bayindirh/imap-backup:latest \
  imap-backup single backup \
  --dns 8.8.8.8 \
  --email [email protected] --password mysecret --server imap.example.com \
  --path /data/me_example.com
