⁠What's patton-server?

patton-server is a service that store the vulnerability information (CVEs) and link it with product details (CPE) allowing to ask in a very clever way.

⁠How to use patton-server?

patton-server provides a REST API that you can use in three different ways:

  • Using raw curl / wget / [YOUR FAVORITE HTTP CLIENT]
  • Using the Postman collection you can find in its repo (named patton_server.postman.json)
  • Using patton-cli (https://github.com/bbva/patton/⁠): We recommend to use this way. patton-cli is a powerful client for patton-server that allows you to extract and check for vulnerabilities in your systems in a many different ways.

⁠Quick start running Patton

$ docker run --rm -p 9000:9000 bbvalabs/patton-server

It will run with the following defaults:

  • Listen por 9000
  • Database:
    • host: 127.0.0.1
    • port: 5432
    • user: postgres
    • password: postgres
    • database name: patton
  • Maximum concurrent connections: 512
