bcourtine/centos7-rust repository overview

Rust official images (https://hub.docker.com/_/rust/⁠) are based on Debian jessie/stretch. Both distribution use glibc >= 2.18.0. Rust builds with this glibc version cannot be deployed on CentOS 7 (glibc 2.17.X).

This image has been created to build Rust executables running on CentOS 7.

Basic usage:

docker run --rm -v $PWD:/rust -w /rust -it bcourtine/centos7-rust cargo build --release

Use a local cargo library cache to improve build speed:

docker run --rm -v $HOME/.cargo/registry:/root/.cargo/registry -v $PWD:/rust -w /rust -it bcourtine/centos7-rust cargo build --release
