⁠beabys/php-grpc

PHP-FPM with the grpc PECL extension prebuilt and enabled. Multi-arch (linux/amd64 + linux/arm64). Drop-in replacement for the official php:*-fpm image when your service speaks gRPC.

⁠What is inside

• Official php:<ver>-fpm base (Debian).
• grpc-stable compiled via pecl install in a builder stage.
• Extension enabled by /usr/local/etc/php/conf.d/20-grpc.ini with extension=grpc.so.
• Stripped .so artifacts to keep the runtime layer small.
• Minimal runtime deps: only ca-certificates added on top of the upstream image.
• Inherited CMD from the upstream image — starts php-fpm.

⁠Quickstart

docker pull beabys/php-grpc:8.5.12-fpm-grpc
docker run -d 

--name php-grpc 

-p 9000:9000 

-v "$(pwd)/app:/var/www/html" 

beabys/php-grpc:8.5.12-fpm-grpc

The inherited CMD ["php-fpm"] from php:*-fpm starts php-fpm on port 9000. Mount your project into /var/www/html.

⁠Not included

This image ships only the PHP grpc extension. It does not include protoc or the grpc_php_plugin code generators. Generate stubs in a separate build stage or on the host.
