beargiles/postgres-pljava-dev repository overview

This repo extends beargiles/postgres-pljava⁠ with the pljava source and all of the tools required to rebuild the extension.

Few users will need this docker image - it is intended for people working on the pl/java extension itself, e.g., to add additional functionality that requires development using C. For instance a User Defined Function (UDF)⁠ that requires a library that's not available in java, or for new functionality like support for a Foreign Data Wrapper (FDW)⁠.

Note: as of August 2023 the underlying postgres⁠ image only provides the Java 17 JDK.
