berlius/artificial-intelligence-gpu repository overview

information

this repository is no longer updated because I now use Nixos, a declarative Linux distribution. Containers and virtual environments are useless because all the system is declarative and modular

with this docker container, you can work on a project of artificial intelligence without worry about installation of all dependencies.

You can use this repository which continues to be updated. Their principle is exactly the same as mine. root repository

Why ?
  1. All artificial intelligence software are in this container : Tensorflow, Caffe, Theano, Keras, Lasagne, Torch and many python and lua libraries that concern deep learning. Easy installation and acces to GPU with nvidia docker.

  2. Easy dependency management

  3. Possibility of multiples versions of a project without conflict.

  4. The container is connected to the xorg server. You can see the progress of your work directly in your web browser by opening a tab at "http: // localhost: 8000" if the project uses "display" for example.

  5. The results of the project are stored permanently in the shared folder of your choice.

  6. You can execute this container, whatever your linux distribution (not only Ubuntu 14.04).

  7. You can also execute this container in Windows operating system or OS X with a few restrictions. See bottom page

  8. The audio is connected through /dev/snd with "jack" server. "timidity" can play midi files for example
