Backtrader/python container but with pycharm IDE added for portability and dependancy independence.
317
(Note: you should probably pull the highest numbered container.) Useful for quants who are required to move between machines or need to maintain correct dependencies.
Pipe video to host OS. NOTE: If necessary on your host disable X access control on Ubuntu with sudo xhost + to allow X to connect.
To start container (assuming you have a shared host directory named "docker_stocks"):
docker run -it -v /tmp/.X11-unix:/tmp/.X11-unix -e DISPLAY=unix$DISPLAY --name=docker_stocks -v ~/docker_stocks:/docker_stocks -it --entrypoint /bin/bash pycharm_backtrader
pycharm is in /opt/pycharm-community-2017.2.2 Run with pycharm.sh within bin
Added MatPlotlib, tcl/tk, Tkinter for fully interactive backtrader graphing window in other container bigdavediode/pycharm_backtrader2
Adapted from mbabik/backtrader. tcl/tk installed following: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/4783810/install-tkinter-for-python and adding each dependency by hand.
