⁠Overview

This repository provides a fast possibility to launch B-Editor with its dependencies without web-server setup. For more information, visit corresponding GitHub pages:

⁠Run B-Editor

Place the TXT files to be aligned in a particular directory and assign read-write permissions to the www-data group for them as follows:

sudo chgrp www-data *.txt && chmod g+rw *.txt

Add all necessary subdirectories to the working directory to enable full functionality:

mkdir bookmarks covers illustrations saved

Create a one-time container to run B-Editor. Mount your working directory with TXT files to the /var/www/html/books/ path inside the container as follows:

docker run --rm -p 8080:80 --mount type=bind,src="$(pwd)",dst=/var/www/html/books/ b-editor

Once container is launched, B-Editor web-application is available locally in your browser via http://localhost:8080/b-editor/. All the changes in TXT files are saved on your host computer after container turned off.

The minimum Dockerfile for this image looks as follows:
