ckpool-solo for Unraid. Self-hosted Bitcoin solo mining via your own Bitcoin Core node.
962
Self-hosted Bitcoin solo mining — built by BitCryptic.
Point your ASICs at your own Bitcoin Core node and keep 100% of the block reward. No pool fees, no middleman, no custodian. This image runs ckpool in -B BTCSOLO mode, built from source against the official Bitbucket repository by Con Kolivas.
ckpool acts as a lightweight stratum server that bridges your mining hardware to your local Bitcoin Core node. When your miner finds a valid block, it is submitted directly via your own node — no third party involved.
stratum+tcp://your-server:3333)ckpool reads from a config file mounted at /etc/ckpool/ckpool.conf. A minimal example:
{
"btcd": [
{
"url": "bitcoincore:8332",
"auth": "yourrpcuser",
"pass": "yourrpcpassword"
}
],
"btcaddress": "bc1qyouraddresshere",
"btcsig": "/mined by BitCryptic/",
"blockpoll": 500,
"nonce1length": 4,
"nonce2length": 8,
"update_interval": 30,
"version_mask": "1fffe000",
"mindiff": 512,
"startdiff": 2048,
"logdir": "/var/log/ckpool"
}
Point your miners at stratum+tcp://your-unraid-ip:3333 with your Bitcoin address as the username and any string as the password.

Solo mining is a lottery. With two Bitmain S9s (~28 TH/s combined) at current network difficulty, the statistical average time to find a block is measured in decades. This is for hobbyists who want the experience of running their own mining infrastructure and understand the odds.
| Hardware | Hashrate | Est. time to block (current diff) |
|---|---|---|
| 1× Bitmain S9 | ~14 TH/s | Very long |
| 2× Bitmain S9 | ~28 TH/s | Very long |
| 1× Antminer S21 Pro | ~234 TH/s | Still very long |
The point is sovereignty, not income.
