⁠Pre-build docker image with HCLOUD binary

Stop downloading images from GitHub manually. Stop worrying about the platform and where's the latest version.

Here you have the pre-build docker image with the latest version of the hcloud⁠ binary, already in the image.

These images are automatically built weekly using a GitHub Action⁠. The latest binary is pulled automatically for all configured architectures.

Usage is simple:

• either use it directly, or
• pull this image to use it inside your docker builds

⁠Using the image

⁠Direct usage

Run it as any other docker image, e.g.

docker run --rm -it [-v ...] boky/hcloud

or make it an alias:

alias hcloud='docker run --rm -it [-v ...] boky/hcloud'

⁠Use it during the build

Get the binary into your image by simply setting it up like this:

FROM boky/hcloud AS hcloud
...

FROM ubuntu
...
COPY --from=hcloud /hcloud /usr/local/bin/hcloud

⁠Using a specific version

If you'd like, it's quite trivial to pin your builds to a specific version -- e.g. boky/hcloud:1.19.1.
