boutproject/bout-next repository overview

These are development versions which pass tests but may be broken in subtle (or not so subtle) ways which have not been spotted yet. The images include the development environment, python (numpy, scipy, matplotlib) and editors (emacs, vim, nano).

$ sudo docker pull boutproject/bout-next:9f4c663-sundials-ubuntu

Run with:

$ sudo docker run --rm -it boutproject/bout-next:9f4c663-sundials-ubuntu

If you want to have a shared directory between the host and the docker image, and use X11 for plotting etc. then run with:

$ mkdir shared
$ sudo docker run --rm -it  \
   -e DISPLAY -v $HOME/.Xauthority:/home/boutuser/.Xauthority --net=host \
   -v $PWD/shared:/home/boutuser/bout-img-shared \
   boutproject/bout-next:9f4c663-sundials-ubuntu

where the line starting "-e DISPLAY" enables X11, and the line starting "-v" mounts the shared directory.
