How to Launch WetAI

This tutorial is for people who want to run WetAI on their computer locally. By far the easiest way to do this is using Docker. Docker has quickly become one of the most popular ways to share code, because it makes it easy to instantly run any code on any computer.

Step 1: Install Docker

You can run WetAI on Linux/Mac/Windows laptops using docker. To do this, first install docker here. We recommend watching a docker tutorial and installation video on youtube.

Step 2: Download and Run WetAI

Once you have docker, open your computer terminal and run the following code to download WetAI:

docker pull braingeneers/wetai

Run this next line of code to start the Jupyter wetai environment in your browser:

docker run -d --privileged -p 80:80 --name wetai --user root braingeneers/wetai password wetai

Then open an internet browser (chrome, safari,...) and go to the url localhost . You will now be asked to sign into WetAI. To sign in use:

password: wetai

Step 3: Use local data

Suppose you would like to use data from your computer located at /path/to/data inside of WetAI. You can do this by running the command:

chmod a+rwx -R /path/to/data
docker run -d --privileged -p 80:80 --name wetai --user root -v /path/to/data:/home/jovyan/Projects braingeneers/wetai password wetai
Step 4: Stop WetAI

To stop WetAI run the following code. Any changes you make to path/to/data will remain saved.

docker stop wetai
docker rm wetai
