Docker image for the BubbleUPnP Tether Client
3.8K
The BubbleUPnP Tether Client is a command-line program that allows to connect to a remote BubbleUPnP Server instance for making the UPnP/DLNA media servers of the remote network it is running on, visible to UPnP/DLNA clients (Control Points, TVs, ...) on the network this tether client is running on.
This image is based on openSUSE Tumbleweed and the lightweight Eclipse OpenJ9 Java runtime.
docker run --rm --net=host -it bubblesoftapps/bubbleupnptetherclient -connect https://myhostname.org:58051 -login mylogin
Where myhostname.org is the public hostname or ip address of the BubbleUPnP Server instance to connect to, and mylogin the login configured in BubbleUPnP Server's Network and Security tab.
You will be interactively prompted for the password.
docker create --name bubbleupnptetherclient --net=host bubblesoftapps/bubbleupnptetherclient -connect https://myhostname.org:58051 -login mylogin -password mypassword
In that form, the password mypassword must be specified on the command-line.
If you wish to start the client when the docker daemon is started by the system, add --restart=unless-stopped after --net=host.
