⁠About the name

Sophon is named after the sophon — the proton-sized supercomputer from Liu Cixin's The Three-Body Problem. In the novel, a single sophon particle carries immense intelligence and reach across vast distances. Our Sophon is built in the same spirit: vast capability in a small, elegant package that is quietly always with you.

⁠What the Dashboard gives you

Chat. A full-featured chat experience with your assistant. Streaming replies. File attachments. Agent picker. Conversation history. Search back through everything Sophon has done with you.

Voice. Full-screen voice mode with an animated orb, barge-in, and your choice of TTS provider. Wake the assistant, talk over it, get a spoken answer back. Hands-free when you need it.

Home / Overview. Live agent status, message volume across channels, skill activity heatmap, system health. Everything you need to know about your assistant at a glance.

Agents. Author and edit your assistant's personality. Choose models per agent. See cost per conversation. Test responses in isolation before pushing them live.

Channels. Add, configure, and monitor connections to WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Signal, Email, SMS, Matrix, LINE, Google Chat, and more. Setup wizards for each. Routing rules. Real-time health indicators.

Skills. Browse the Marketplace. Install skills with one click. Self-author new skills with a guided wizard. Enable or disable skills per agent. Compose pipelines.

Documents. Upload PDFs, Word, Excel, images. Sophon extracts, summarises, and makes everything searchable. Ask natural-language questions of your own library.

Memory. Browse daily journals. Edit long-term memory. Search semantically across every conversation Sophon has ever had with you. See people, projects, and how they connect.

Workflows. A visual, drag-and-drop canvas for chaining triggers, actions, logic, and approvals. Share workflows with a team (Pro) or an organisation (Enterprise). Let the assistant author workflows for you.

Connections. Connect Gmail, Calendar, GitHub, Notion, Jira, Linear, Apple Notes, Home Assistant, and more — OAuth or API key — all stored encrypted in the credential vault.

Approvals. Any action that sends a message, spends money, or deletes data is queued here for your review. Approve, reject, or edit before execution. Configure per-skill risk policies.

Cron jobs. Schedule recurring work with an expression builder. View execution history. Pause and resume.

Models & Providers. Add multiple AI providers. Set priority and fallback order. Configure per-provider budgets and alerts. Watch real-time cost tracking.

Canvas. A dedicated viewer for when your assistant pushes rich visual output — charts, diagrams, code, HTML — directly into the conversation.

Settings. System configuration, API keys, webhooks, notifications, backup and restore, light / dark theme.

Administration (Enterprise). Users, roles, SSO, audit logs, tenants, compliance, billing.

Run the Dashboard alongside the Gateway image⁠, pointing it at the Gateway's URL:

Open http://localhost and the Setup Wizard walks you through adding your first AI provider.

For the typical local setup, use Docker Compose so the Dashboard can reach the Gateway by container name.

⁠Tags

Sophon images are tagged with their exact version only. There is no :latest, :stable, or rolling tag — always pull a specific version.

docker pull buildersoftdev/sophon-dashboard:1.15.0

Replace 1.15.0 with the version you want. See GitHub Releases⁠ for the current list.

Pin both the Gateway and Dashboard to the same version for predictable behaviour. The Dashboard's About panel will flag a version mismatch if the Gateway it's talking to is on a different version.
