Launch Kafka by executing docker run -ti --rm -p 9092:9092 byuhbll/kafka and connect using localhost:9092.
The image has a start command for quickly launching services from within the container. The usage of the script is start [SERVICE...] where SERVICE is optional because the image has a default set of services that will be started. You can view the default services by executing echo $DEFAULT_SERVICES from within the container. There are also two other sister commands, stop and restart, that work the same way as start except that they stop or restart the services respectively
