Launch Solr by executing docker run -ti --rm -p 2181:2181 -p 8983:8983 byuhbll/solr and connect to ZooKeeper using localhost/solr or view the Solr console at http://localhost:8983/solr/#/.
The SOLR_HOST environment variable is set to localhost by default. You need to override this if clients need to access Solr using a different host. docker run -e SOLR_HOST=solrhost ...
The image has a start command for quickly launching services from within the container. The usage of the script is start [SERVICE...] where SERVICE is optional because the image has a default set of services that will be started. You can view the default services by executing echo $DEFAULT_SERVICES from within the container. There are also two other sister commands, stop and restart, that work the same way as start except that they stop or restart the services respectively.
The Dockerfile can be found at https://bitbucket.org/byuhbll/docker-images/src/master/solr.
