canarymonitor/agent repository overview

This container packages the Canary Monitoring Agent, which can be used by Canary Monitoring customers to run synthetic monitors and to forward data from in-process monitoring. It is a simple repackage, so the standard documentation (including environment variables it needs) holds. Two Docker specifics:

• It will open port 51712 for listening to incoming telemetry from in-process agents, you will need to make that port accessible if you want to use in-process monitoring;
• Similarly, for in-process monitoring, you will need to provide the pattern matching configuration file, either through a volume mount or by creating your own derived container (start with FROM canarymonitor/agent:<version>).
