PowerShell Docker Image for Office 365 and Azure Management

This Docker image provides a PowerShell environment specifically designed for managing Office 365 and Azure environments. It simplifies the management process by ensuring that you have a consistent version of the necessary PowerShell modules, along with some compatibility fixes from the original Docker version.

Features

  • Base Image: Built on the official Microsoft PowerShell image.
  • Pre-installed Modules:
    • Azure PowerShell (Az)
    • Microsoft Graph
    • MSOnline
    • SharePoint Online Management Shell
    • Exchange Online Management
  • Keyboard Shortcuts: Configured to use Windows-style keyboard shortcuts in the PowerShell profile for a smoother user experience.

Usage

Build the Docker Image

To build the Docker image, run the following command in the directory containing the Dockerfile:

docker build -t castrouser/microsoft-365-powershell .

Access PowerShell Modules

Once inside the container, you can utilize the installed PowerShell modules to manage your Azure and Office 365 environments. Below are some examples of how to connect to different services:

Connect-ExchangeOnline -UserPrincipalName [email protected] -Device
Connect-AzAccount -Device

Note: Always use the -Device parameter for authentication, as this Docker image does not support browser-based authentication.
