Run a patched version of thrift without installing all the dependencies yourself!
Save the following as ~/bin/thrift (or somewhere else in your PATH) and make it executable.
#!/bin/bash
docker run --mount type=bind,src=$PWD,dst=/app --mount type=bind,src=$HOME/concrete,dst=/concrete --rm ccmaymay/concrete-base:thrift-5674 "$@"
Note: the second bind-mount, from $HOME/concrete on the host to /concrete in the container, is used to support concrete-python and concrete-js build scripts. It can be omitted in other use cases.
Then, run thrift to test the script (downloading the image if necessary):
$ thrift --version
Thrift version 0.18.0
