celeriti/dockerportlister repository overview

Port Lister gives you a single, live view of every port your local Docker setup is using — and exactly what's using it.

If you run more than a couple of projects locally, you've hit the problem: you go to start a container and get a "port is already allocated" error, or you genuinely can't remember whether port 8080 belongs to your API, a reverse proxy, or something you spun up for a client six weeks ago. Port Lister solves this by pulling live data straight from the Docker Engine and laying it out as a searchable table.

For every published port, you get:

Host port and protocol (TCP/UDP), plus the host IP it's bound to Which container is using it — name, short ID, and image Which compose project it belongs to, so you can tell projects apart at a glance Container port it maps to internally Running/stopped status

Because containers are matched by Docker's own container list (including stopped ones), Port Lister also surfaces ports reserved by containers and compose projects that are currently turned off — so you can catch a future port collision before you try to start something back up and it fails.

Other conveniences:

IPv4 / IPv6 / All filter to isolate bindings by address family Free-text search across port, container, project, and image Auto-refresh every 5 seconds, or a manual refresh button A "Show stopped" toggle if you only want to see what's actually live right now

No configuration, no backend service to trust with extra permissions — Port Lister reads directly through Docker Desktop's own extension API and shows you what it finds.
