⁠OP-Stack-Universal Docker Images

⁠Overview

This repository contains Dockerfiles for building OP Stack-compatible Erigon and Geth-based execution clients. The builds are based on op-node, op-erigon, and op-geth, ensuring compatibility with Optimism's Layer 2 infrastructure.

⁠Docker Images

We maintain two different images:

op-stack-erigon: Uses op-erigon as the execution client.

op-stack-geth: Uses op-geth as the execution client.

⁠Versioning & Releases

A key challenge is maintaining version clarity since both Dockerfiles include an op-node version, which may change independently of op-erigon or op-geth.

Release Naming Convention

To ensure transparency in dependencies, we follow a structured naming scheme:

For op-stack-erigon:

erigon-<erigon-version>-op-node-<op-node-version>

Example: erigon-2.60.10-0.8.1-opnode-1.10.3

For op-stack-geth:

geth-<geth-version>-op-node-<op-node-version>

Example: geth-1.101411.4-opnode-1.10.3

This ensures that when a release is created, users can easily determine which op-node version is included.
