chamer81/ssh repository overview

This container runs a server to accept incoming non-root ssh logins authenticated with a public/private key pair.

When running it, you must mount your public key as a volume:

docker run -p 2222:22 -v /home/${USER}/.ssh/id_ed25519.pub:/home/sshuser/.ssh/id.pub chamer81/ssh

I named the target file in the container simply id.pub to emphasize that any algorithm supported by ssh is OK here (e.g. id_rsa, id_ed25519).

Once it is running, you can ssh into the container as follows:

ssh -p 2222 sshuser@localhost
