Type make image to build the Docker container that can run SuiteOPT for Python.

Type sudo docker run -it suiteopt-test to run Docker image in interactive container with terminal access.

⁠SuiteOPT for Python Demo Files

Sample problems illustrating how to set up and solve optimization problems using SuiteOPT for Python can be found in the SuiteOPT-Demo after launching the SuiteOPT for Docker container. The demo files are listed below:

• Nonlinear Program : demo.py
• Quadratic Program : demoQP.py
• Linear Program : demoLP.py

⁠Notes on Performance of SuiteOPT in Docker

Currently, SuiteOPT for Python is not achieving desirable performance when running inside of Docker. For example, the demoLP.py problem included in the Docker container solves in ~35 seconds when running in this Docker container but only takes ~12 seconds when running SuiteOPT for Python outside of Docker. At the moment, the exact cause of this performance slowdown is unknown. I am currently investigating a cause of this performance issue when running SuiteOPT for Python inside of Docker.
