This docker image is based on WebGoat 6.x version from GitHub.

Start by running the docker pull command: docker pull chviswanath/webgoat-legacy

After you run the docker pull command, to run the image as a new container, run the command: docker run -d -p 8080:8080 chviswanath/webgoat-legacy

This means you are running in deamon mode and mapping the 8080 port from the server to 8080 port on your docker client PC. Any machine can connect to your docker client PC and access the WebGoat application using: http://(ip of docker client pc):8080/WebGoat

Alternatively, if you want to limit the hosts that can access the WebGoat application, specify your localhost IP address in the command: docker run -d -p 127.0.0.1:8080:8080 chviswanath/webgoat-legacy Then access the webgoat application using: http://127.0.0.1:8080/WebGoat/⁠
