Docker Cloudflare DDNS

This Docker image allows you to use Cloudflare DNS as a Dynamic DNS (DDNS) provider.
It continuously monitors your public IP and updates a Cloudflare DNS record automatically.

Usage

Quick Setup

Run the container with required environment variables:

docker run -d \
  -e CF_API_TOKEN=<your-cloudflare-api-token> \
  -e CF_ZONE_ID=<your-cloudflare-zone-id> \
  -e CF_RECORD_NAME=<dns-record-to-update> \
  -e INTERVAL=300 \
  clouddrove/cloudflare-ddns:v1.0.0

Parameters

  • CF_API_TOKEN – Your Cloudflare API token (scoped to your zone). Required
  • CF_ZONE_ID – The Cloudflare zone ID where the record lives. Required
  • CF_RECORD_NAME – The DNS record to update. Required
  • INTERVAL – How often (in seconds) to check your public IP (default: 300). Optional

Behavior

  • The container starts and continuously checks the public IP.
  • If the IP changes, it updates the DNS record in Cloudflare.
  • If the IP remains the same, it logs:
No change. Current IP: <IP>

Notes

  • The container runs as a non-root user (UID 1000) and expects all configuration via environment variables.
  • INTERVAL controls polling frequency; defaults to 5 minutes if not provided.
  • No additional dependencies beyond the Python standard library and requests.
  • Multiple containers can update different DNS records using different environment variable sets.
