Tetrinet⁠ is a cross-platform network-enabled Tetris multiplayer game that follows a simple client/server architecture. It is an easy-to-learn, fast, adictive network game. Jetrix is an opensource free implementation in Java of the server that aims for for maximum scalability, extensibility and ease of use. It can be downloaded from http://jetrix.sourceforge.net⁠

This Docker Image has been created as an example of modernization of a traditional application running in Windows kernel. As such, this Docker image is a native Windows container featuring Windows Server 2016 NanoServer for maximun performance a minimal footprint. Using this image you can easily run Jetrix server containers in Windows 10 1703 Creators Update or Windows Server 2016 whatever it is hosted in on-premises or in the cloud.

This Docker Image has the following features:

• Image size: ~1.35 GB. Maximun Windows optimization provided by Windows Server 2016 NanoServer⁠.
• Internet Information Server. Lightweight version of IIS prepared to run in NanoServer. It hosts the game information website.
• Jetrix⁠ server version 0.2.3, latest stable release available.
• Exposed ports: 31457/TCP (tetrinetx game server), 8080/TCP (Jetrix admin panel), 80/TCP (IIS web server).

⁠DEPLOYING

This image can be launched successfully with the following syntax:

docker run -p 31457:31457 -p 8080:8080 -p 80:80 -d -h myhostname.com --name jetrix cmilanf/jetrix

You will be able to see the IP address of your server through the Docker NAT

docker inspect jetrix

• -p 31457:31457 -p 8080:8080 -p 80:80. Exposure of the container ports to host machine. Feel free to change this redirection as long as you keep the original EXPOSE.
• ** -d**. Daemonize, so we won't wait for any user input after launching the container.
• -h myhostname.com. The FQDN of your server.
• --name tetrix. The name of the container.
• cmilanf/jetrix. The name of the image you are deploying.

⁠USAGE

Upon successful launch, you can start using right away the server by pointing your TetriNET client⁠ to the domain name or IP of your server.

• Default Admin User: admin
• Default Admin Password: adminpass

You can also:

• Point your browser to http://yourhostname:8080⁠ for entering the administration panel.
• Point your browser to http://yourhostname⁠ for game information and client downloads.
