Irish Tariff Optimiser

Replays your household's ESB Networks half-hourly smart-meter history against a library of Irish electricity tariff plans and ranks them by true annual cost — import bands + export credit + standing charge − signup credit. No estimates, no "typical household" assumptions: your actual usage decides.

  • 21+ seeded plans across Electric Ireland, Bord Gáis, SSE Airtricity, Energia, Flogas and Pinergy
  • Monthly rate scraping with a review queue — rate changes are suggested, never auto-applied
  • Contract-expiry alerts pushed via Home Assistant (30 and 7 days out)
  • Usage charts and a readiness-reporting /health endpoint
  • Plans auto-seed on first boot; upload your HDF file on the Settings page

Quick start

  docker run -d --name tariff-optimiser -p 8000:8000 \
    -v ./data:/data --restart unless-stopped \
    colfin22/tariff-optimiser:latest

Then open http://localhost:8000, upload your ESB Networks HDF export (downloadable from your esbnetworks.ie account) on the Settings page, and the dashboard ranks every plan by what it would have cost you.
