cplemaster/jellyfin-rffmpeg-worker repository overview

This worker is for use with rffmpeg, specifically with a Jellyfin server. Source project: https://github.com/joshuaboniface/rffmpeg

Cloned from https://hub.docker.com/r/apriestley64/rffmpeg-worker; Added additional tags for the unstable jellyfin-rffmpeg7 package, as I wanted the ability to choose what FFMPEG version my Jellyfin-rffmpeg server would use.

To use this worker with your main container, you'll need to:

Generate and mount an SSH keypair in the main jellyfin-rffmpeg container, and configure rffmpeg to use it via the sample config file associated with it. Then add the public key of the pair in all workers inside of /root/.ssh/authorized_keys. You can also mount the public key as the file directly, that's simple enough.

Mount the following identical source mounts via a RWX volume type of your choosing on your main container and across all workers:

  • /cache
  • /cache/transcodes
  • /data/subtitles

I do not recommend mounting your Jellyfin config volume as RWX in your stack, as you risk accidentally causing the JF SQLite database to be locked. The workers do not need access to the JF config, it can stay RWO.
