#+TITLE: Archlinux VHDL Dockerfile
This dockerfile builds a custom VHDL testing environment based on a base [[https://hub.docker.com/_/archlinux/][archlinux image]].
It includes [[https://osvvm.org/][osvvm]], [[https://gitlab.com/aur-packages/ghdl-nightly][ghdl-nightly]], [[https://github.com/olofk/fusesoc][fusesoc]] and [[https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/python-cocotb/][python-cocotb]] packages. It adds pre compiled Vivado 2019.2 libraries too
It includes a (sudo powered) notroot user to work as once the image is created, which is necessary to install packages from the [[https://aur.archlinux.org/][AUR]]. Sudo access might be useful in case of needing to install aditional ancillary packages within the container
Used [[https://gitlab.com/ip-vhdl][here]] along with [[https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/ci/][gitlbab-ci]]
Get it from [[https://hub.docker.com/r/csantosb/arch-vhdl][docker hub]].
