errata: asterisk user does not have permission to read the database. To fix, in the container: # chown asterisk /var/lib/asterisk/sqlite3dir/sqlite3.db*
starting openbts in docker:
# docker pull cswiger/openbtslimesdr1a (pulls 417MB) # docker run -it -v /dev/bus/usb:/dev/bus/usb --privileged --userns host --cap-add SYS_NICE -d --name openbts cswiger/openbtslimesdr1a bash # docker attach openbts Or just leave off the -d detach option above. Use ctrl-p,ctrl-q to detach from a container and leave it running. Just typing 'exit' will stop the container and kill off any running processes.
# LimeUtil --update
may have to exit and restart the container after this to reset the usb bus; type
# exit
the container stops but still exists.
# docker start openbts
# docker attach openbts
and resume
# screen -S pbx
# /usr/sbin/asterisk -f -g
detach from screen with ctrl-a,ctrl-d
# screen -S auth # /OpenBTS/sipauthserve & This prints error about /OpenBTS/comp128: not found, still works w/o encryption # /OpenBTS/smqueue & # jobs [2] + Running /OpenBTS/smqueue [1] - Running /OpenBTS/sipauthserve
# screen -S trx # osmo-trx -f -b4 -s4
# screen -S bts # /OpenBTS/OpenBTS
then in the container bash: # /OpenBTS/OpenBTSCLI OpenBTS> power current downlink power 0 dB wrt full scale
Register your phone sim with: # /OpenBTS/nmcli.py sipauthserve subscribers create "nameofthephone" IMSItheimsi where IMSItheimsi is the string 'IMSI' followed by the numbers, example: # /OpenBTS/nmcli.py sipauthserve subscribers create BLUPhone IMSI901700000005100
OpenBTS logs to syslog, which needs to be started in the container to work - in another screen session run # rsyslogd -n and then log level can be set in the CLI at > config Log.Level
