cybericebox/daemon repository overview

Cyber ICE Box — daemon

Overview

Backend API for accounts, events, exercises, notifications and laboratory orchestration. This container is a component of the Cyber ICE Box platform.

Usage

Prepare daemon.env using the configuration reference, including PostgreSQL, session secrets and the selected CAPTCHA provider. Then run:

docker run --rm --env-file daemon.env -p 8080:8080 \
  cybericebox/daemon:v2.0.0

Without mounted TLS certificates, the default HTTP port is 8080. TLS uses 8443 when configured. The image's dedicated health listener uses 8081 and GET /api/health.

Configuration

The backend requires PostgreSQL and deployment-specific environment values, including DOMAIN, SUPPORT_EMAIL, POSTGRES_PASSWORD and SESSION_ENCRYPTION_KEY. Authentication, CAPTCHA, storage and laboratory enrollment settings are documented in the source README. Other platform components connect to this service at api.<DOMAIN>.

Versions

  • vX.Y.Z: releases; pin an explicit version for deployment.
  • latest: the most recently promoted release.
  • vX.Y.Z-rc.N: release candidates, when published.
  • sha-<7>: development builds under the current publication workflow. Older builds may use full commit hashes.

Images are built for linux/amd64 and linux/arm64. Each platform component has its own release version.
