Based on a base image containing Alpine Linux and Oracle JDK 8 frolvlad/alpine-oraclejdk8⁠.

This image contains the "fat" JAR that is the "greeter-service-example" microservice.

⁠Usage Example

Run the image:

$ docker run -d -p 9000:9000 danielrhoades/greeter-service-example

Basically, it exposes a "Greeting" service you can use like so:

$ curl -X POST -H 'Content-Type: application/json' http://localhost:9000/greeting -d '{"firstName": "Bob", "lastName": "Smith"}'

To which the response is:

}
