What are Darktrace osSensors?

Darktrace osSensors are lightweight, host-based server agents that extend Darktrace's visibility into third-party cloud environments including AWS, Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure. Available for any system that can run the Docker Engine, Darktrace osSensors are robust and resilient, allowing organizations to enhance visibility and deliver Darktrace DETECT and RESPOND capabilities in cloud environments wherever they are hosted.

How to use this image

start an osSensor instance

docker run -e VSENSOR_HOSTNAME=<your-hostname> -e VSENSOR_HMAC_KEY=<vsensor-hmac> --network=host public.ecr.aws/darktrace/ossensor:latest

Note: Host networking must also be enabled via --network=host. If it is not enabled, the osSensor will start as normal but will not ingest all traffic.
