⁠make 10!

A daily number puzzle. You get four digits, keep them in order, and drop maths symbols between them until the whole thing equals 10.

Everyone gets the same puzzle each day. There are no accounts, no cookies and no tracking, and your stats stay on your own device.

⁠What it does

• A new puzzle every day, the same for everyone running the same image, rolling over at your own midnight.
• Drag and drop, or tap. Drag symbols into the row, or tap a symbol and then the spot in the row. It works from a keyboard and a screen reader too.
• Find them all. Each puzzle has a known number of standard solutions, plus bonus badges for answers using powers, factorials and square roots. Trivial variations don't count twice.
• Hints when you're stuck, and a spoiler-free result to share with a group chat.
• Practice mode with Easy, Medium and Hard puzzles that don't touch your streak.
• Stats and streaks, with export and import for moving to a new phone.
• Works offline. It's an installable PWA, so it runs with no signal.

It's static files behind nginx, with no database, no configuration and nothing to store, so it holds no user data and is safe to expose. Put it behind HTTPS: browsers only allow service workers and the clipboard on a secure site, so without HTTPS it won't work offline. localhost counts as secure for trying it out.

Every copy with the same image and date serves the same daily puzzle.

⁠Data and attribution

The puzzles are generated by this project's own solver, and ship in the image. Nothing is fetched from anywhere else at runtime.

make 10! is source-available under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0⁠. Personal, hobby, research, educational and charity use are all welcome. Commercial use is not permitted without a separate licence. The full terms are at /LICENSE in the image.
