This ensures that the files generated inside the docker image have the same permission as you on your host system.\n\n## Source code\nThe source code of the ALIGN version installed is in the directory `/ALIGN-public` in the docker image. The examples and mock PDK that are packaged with ALIGN are available in this directory.\n\n## Mount host directories inside the image\nUse the following command to mount a custom PDK / schematic directory in the host machine inside the docker image:\n```\ndocker run -i -t --mount src=/,target=/,type=bind \\\n --mount src=/,target=/,type=bind \\\n --mount src=,target=/work,type=bind \\\n -w /work align_${USER} bash\n```\nThe paths in the host machine appear as mounted volumes inside the docker container.\n\n## Run\nTo run ALIGN, use `schematic2layout.py -p / /` in the bash shell inside the docker container.\nRefer to [ALIGN-public](https://github.com/ALIGN-analoglayout/ALIGN-public) for detailed documentation on the usage of `schematic2layout.py`.\n\n## GUI from the container\nTo run ALIGN GUI from inside the container, `schematic2layout.py -p / / --port --gui` in the bash shell inside the docker container.\n```\ndocker run -i -t --mount src=/,target=/,type=bind \\\n --mount src=/,target=/,type=bind \\\n --mount src=,target=/work,type=bind \\\n -p : \\ \n -w /work align_${USER} bash\n```\n\n\n## Batch mode\n`run_align` is a script inside docker that runs ALIGN on a schematic/PDK directory specified using the env variables `ALIGN_CKT_DIR`/`ALIGN_PDK_DIR` respectively.\nUsage:\n```\ndocker run -e ALIGN_PDK_DIR=/ -e ALIGN_CKT_DIR=/ \\\n --mount src=/,target=/,type=bind \\\n --mount src=/,target=/,type=bind \\\n --mount src=,target=/work,type=bind \\\n -w /work align_${USER} run_align\n```\nThis command will automatically generate the ALIGN outputs in the ``.\n\n# Skywater 130nm PDK\n\nALIGN version of the Skywater130 PDK (https://github.com/ALIGN-analoglayout/ALIGN-pdk-sky130) is installed in the directory `/ALIGN-pdk-sky130` in the docker image.\n\n# RHEL9 image\nThis is a slightly outdated image. Use this if only if you have issues with the Ubuntu image. To pull this image use:\n```\ndocker pull darpaalign/align-public:rhel9","has_starred","hub_user","srampr","immutable_tags_settings",{"_76":11,"_77":78},"enabled","rules",[79],".*","is_automated","permissions",{"_83":21,"_84":11,"_85":11},"read","write","admin","user","storage_size",85444360550,"orgData",{"_91":92,"_93":94,"_95":96,"_97":33,"_98":99,"_100":99,"_101":102,"_103":99,"_104":105,"_106":107,"_108":99,"_109":99,"_110":21},"id","0bda93649a5e407ba4bce3d3630df7e9","uuid","0bda9364-9a5e-407b-a4bc-e3d3630df7e9","type","organization","orgname","full_name","","location","company","University of Minnesota, Intel Corporation, Texas A&M","profile_url","date_joined","2018-09-21T19:15:40.54752Z","gravatar_url","https://www.gravatar.com/avatar/4f6a8c18bf45ca1f328ebd63aa9d594c?s=80&r=g&d=mm","gravatar_email","badge","is_active","recentTags",[113,149],{"_114":44,"_115":116,"_117":118,"_119":120,"_91":121,"_122":123,"_50":138,"_139":116,"_140":73,"_141":56,"_57":142,"_143":144,"_145":129,"_146":138,"_147":65,"_148":21},"content_type","creator",23277435,"digest","sha256:1bce2d822754881c1579830f6553d9aeed912cd21c2a729cf9255239065a495f","full_size",2240760981,527740463,"images",[124],{"_125":126,"_117":118,"_127":99,"_128":129,"_130":131,"_132":133,"_134":99,"_135":-5,"_136":120,"_63":65,"_137":-5},"architecture","amd64","features","last_pulled","2026-10-19T00:36:32.465023775Z","last_pushed","2026-09-15T07:05:51.392963871Z","os","linux","os_features","os_version","size","variant","2026-09-15T07:05:51.654744Z","last_updater","last_updater_username","media_type","latest","repository",22156162,"tag_last_pulled","tag_last_pushed","tag_status","v2",{"_114":44,"_115":116,"_117":150,"_119":151,"_91":152,"_122":153,"_50":157,"_139":116,"_140":73,"_141":56,"_57":158,"_143":144,"_145":155,"_146":157,"_147":65,"_148":21},"sha256:8a0102b90562287ad8ed8aa8778d7469aaa300ec0ff5eb477408d51b55b4d0f1",994437107,541023054,[154],{"_125":126,"_117":150,"_127":99,"_128":155,"_130":156,"_132":133,"_134":99,"_135":-5,"_136":151,"_63":65,"_137":-5},"2026-10-17T02:30:23.388307606Z","2023-11-02T08:55:48Z","2023-11-02T08:55:47.39987Z","rhel9","sbxKitMetadata","isPotentialSpam","isHubSbxKitsEnabled","showSbxRunInCloud","showSbxLogoOverride","sbxTrademarkText","displaySecurityMetadata","tagAttestations","tagsHaveAttestations",[],"selectedTag","attestationsUrl","routes/_layout.r.$namespace.$reponame.tags",{"_38":173,"_180":181,"_167":194,"_195":11},{"_40":174,"_42":175,"_45":46,"_47":48,"_49":11,"_50":51,"_52":53,"_54":176,"_57":35,"_32":33,"_58":59,"_60":44,"_61":62,"_63":62,"_64":65,"_66":-5,"_67":68,"_69":70,"_71":11,"_72":73,"_74":177,"_80":11,"_81":179,"_86":33,"_87":88},[],[44],[56],{"_76":11,"_77":178},[79],{"_83":21,"_84":11,"_85":11},"tags",{"_182":183,"_184":-5,"_185":-5,"_186":187},"count",2,"next","previous","results",[188,191],{"_114":44,"_115":116,"_117":118,"_119":120,"_91":121,"_122":189,"_50":138,"_139":116,"_140":73,"_141":56,"_57":142,"_143":144,"_145":129,"_146":138,"_147":65,"_148":21},[190],{"_125":126,"_117":118,"_127":99,"_128":129,"_130":131,"_132":133,"_134":99,"_135":-5,"_136":120,"_63":65,"_137":-5},{"_114":44,"_115":116,"_117":150,"_119":151,"_91":152,"_122":192,"_50":157,"_139":116,"_140":73,"_141":56,"_57":158,"_143":144,"_145":155,"_146":157,"_147":65,"_148":21},[193],{"_125":126,"_117":150,"_127":99,"_128":155,"_130":156,"_132":133,"_134":99,"_135":-5,"_136":151,"_63":65,"_137":-5},[],"canDeleteTags","actionData","errors"]
