The darthjee/circleci_rails_gems image is a CircleCI-optimized Docker image built on top of darthjee/circleci_ruby_331. It is the CircleCI counterpart of darthjee/rails_gems, designed to run tests for Ruby gems that target the Rails ecosystem on circleci.com. It comes pre-installed with Rails and its related gems as well as common development and test utilities, so that individual projects only need to install their own specific additions on top of it.
The following gems are pre-installed in the image:
bundler (>= 2.5.13)rake (13.2.1)sinclair (3.1.0)activesupport (7.2.2.1)actionpack (7.2.2.1)activerecord (7.2.2.1)actionview (7.2.2.1)rack (3.1.20)rails (7.2.2.1)nokogiri (1.19.1)sqlite3 (1.4.2)factory_bot (6.5.6)pry (0.14.2)pry-nav (1.0.0)simplecov (0.22.0)simplecov-html (0.13.2)simplecov-lcov (0.9.0)rubycritic (5.0.0)yard (0.9.38)yardstick (0.9.9)reek (6.5.0)rubocop (1.85.1)rubocop-factory_bot (2.28.0)rubocop-rails (2.34.3)rubocop-rake (0.7.1)rubocop-rspec (3.9.0)rubocop-rspec_rails (2.32.0)rspec (3.13.2)rspec-core (3.13.6)rspec-expectations (3.13.5)rspec-mocks (3.13.8)rspec-rails (8.0.3)rspec-support (3.13.7)rails-controller-testing (1.0.5)This image is intended to be used as a base for CircleCI pipelines in projects that develop Ruby gems for Rails. To build on top of it, reference it in your .circleci/config.yml or Dockerfile:
FROM darthjee/circleci_rails_gems:2.1.1
Projects can then install their own specific gems on top of the shared base, taking advantage of Docker layer caching to speed up CI pipelines.
