⁠What is Databend?

Databend is an open-source Elastic and Workload-Aware modern cloud data warehouse.

Databend uses the latest techniques in vectorized query processing to allow you to do blazing-fast data analytics on object storage(S3⁠, Azure Blob⁠, Google Cloud Storage⁠, Huawei Cloud OBS⁠ or MinIO⁠).

⁠What is Databend Meta?

databend-meta is a global service for the metadata(such as user, table schema etc.). It can be a single process service for testing, or a cluster of 3 or 5 nodes for production use. databend-meta has to be deployed before booting up a databend-query cluster.
