It's there just to illustrate\nthe performance benefits that are possible when using the RequireJS Optimizer\n\nhttps://laughing-darwin-eb1b63.netlify.com/\n\nYou can also look at the following 10 commits to see exactly how I reached a score 83 on Lighthouse https://github.com/shakyShane/m2-static/commits/master\n\n## Web-based UI\n\nThis is just here to help you understand the process of taking inputs and producing the build.json\n\nhttps://config-gen-web.netlify.com/\n\n---\n\n## Step 1 - Download the binary\n\nTo enable easy usage, `config-gen` is packaged as a single binary (currently only osx) - just check\nthe [releases](https://github.com/shakyShane/config-gen/releases) page and download the latest version.\n\nTo make it executable, run\n\n```sh\nchmod +x config-gen\n```\n\n**Note**: Some easier installation methods will be released in the coming weeks. :)\n\n## Step 2 - create a configuration file (either `json` or `yaml`)\n\nYou can name it anything, but for example, this would be config-gen.yml\n\n```yml\npresets:\n - name: m2\n options:\n bundle_config: file:test/fixtures/bundle-config.yml\n```\n\n

See .json version

\n\n {\n \"presets\": [\n {\n \"name\": \"m2\",\n \"options\": {\n \"bundle_config\": \"file:test/fixtures/bundle-config.json\"\n }\n }\n ]\n }\n\n

\n\n## Step 3 - create the `bundle-config.yml` or `json` file as noted above.\n\nThis is what determines the parent-child relationship. This file is\nread from disk every time the `/build.json` or `/loaders.js` endpoint is\nrequested - which means you can navigate around the site and continue\nto tweak these relationships to get the optimal result.\n\n```yml\nbundles:\n - name: \"bundles/main\"\n urls:\n - \"/\"\n - \"/index.php/women/tops-women/jackets-women.html\"\n children:\n - name: \"bundles/product\"\n urls:\n - \"/index.php/juno-jacket.html\"\n children: []\n```\n\n

See .json version

\n\n {\n \"bundles\": [\n {\n \"name\": \"bundles/main\",\n \"urls\": [\n \"/\",\n \"/index.php/women/tops-women/jackets-women.html\"\n ],\n \"children\": [\n {\n \"name\": \"bundles/product\",\n \"urls\": [\n \"/index.php/juno-jacket.html\"\n ],\n \"children\": []\n }\n ]\n }\n ]\n }\n\n

\n\n## Step 4 - Now run the program against a Magento 2 instance\n\nThis will provide you with a new url, something like `http://127.0.0.1:65432`. You should\nexercise any areas of the frontend that you want to be covered by the optimizer.\n\n*Tip:* You'll want to disable the network cache, either do this by opening dev-tools and checking\nthe 'disable network cache' checkbox, or you can open your browser with a specific flag, eg: in chrome\nyou can run `/Applications/Google\\ Chrome.app/Contents/MacOS/Google\\ Chrome --disk-cache-size=1`\n\n```\n./config-gen http://example.com --config config-gen.yml\n```\n\n## Step 5 - access the APIs to retrieve the generated code.\n\nAt any point, you can access the following endpoints to retrieve the generated json/js files.\n\n|Path|Purpose|\n|---|---|\n|`/__bs/build.json`|Generates the configuration needed for the Optimizer|\n|`/__bs/loaders.js`|Generates the JavaScript needed to load additional bundles|\n|`/__bs/seed.json`|Generates a dump of the current state so that you can pick up where you left off|\n\n---\n\n## Using `build.json`\n\nYou'll first need to run `static-content:deploy` to ensure all assets are accessible to the optimizer -\nonce you've done that, you'll need to `mv` the entire locale folder and then run the r_js tool using the\nbuild.json\n\n```\nmv pub/static/frontend/Acme/default/en_{GB,GB_src}\nr_js -o build.json \\\n baseUrl=/app/pub/static/frontend/Acme/default/en_GB_src \\\n dir=/app/pub/static/frontend/Acme/default/en_GB \\\n optimize=none\n```\n\n**Note 1**: the above is a short version, in the `mv` you'll probably want to check the directory\nexists etc - but I'm not providing a full script here since requirements will differ.\n\n**Note 2**: change `optimize=none` to `optimize=uglify` when you've confirmed the bundling is working.\n\n---\n\n## Loading additional bundles\n\nWhen you access `/__bs/loaders.js`, it will provide Javascript snippets that will allow the additional bundles\nto be loaded when needed - exactly how you implement this part is up to you, however we will soon be providing a reference\nimplementation that shows how to add/remove the additional bundles based on some admin flags.\n\n```html\n\n\n\n \n```\n\nWhere the contents of `default-loader.js` is obtained from the config-gen api `/__bs/loaders.js`.\n\nThe key point here though, is that during development you wont want that bundle file in place, so this file\nshould be conditionally added via xml config when in production.\n","has_starred","hub_user","immutable_tags_settings",{"_75":11,"_76":77},"enabled","rules",[78],".*","is_automated","permissions",{"_82":21,"_83":11,"_84":11},"read","write","admin","user","storage_size",270279378,"orgData","recentTags",[91],{"_92":44,"_93":94,"_95":96,"_97":98,"_99":100,"_50":117,"_118":94,"_119":33,"_120":56,"_57":121,"_122":123,"_124":108,"_125":117,"_126":66,"_127":21},"content_type","creator",913035,"full_size",115106918,"id",64537027,"images",[101],{"_102":103,"_104":105,"_106":48,"_107":108,"_109":110,"_111":112,"_113":48,"_114":-5,"_115":96,"_63":66,"_116":-5},"architecture","amd64","digest","sha256:db9ed86d2729e6fc25dcdc617244668e4b544a2c12f4bab82460ccb247a3956b","features","last_pulled","2026-10-12T03:39:11.451939171Z","last_pushed","2020-07-06T16:44:49Z","os","linux","os_features","os_version","size","variant","2020-07-06T16:44:49.103471Z","last_updater","last_updater_username","media_type","latest","repository",7512873,"tag_last_pulled","tag_last_pushed","tag_status","v2","sbxKitMetadata","isPotentialSpam","isHubSbxKitsEnabled","showSbxLogoOverride","sbxTrademarkText","displaySecurityMetadata","tagAttestations","tagsHaveAttestations",[],"selectedTag","attestationsUrl","routes/_layout.r.$namespace.$reponame.tags",{"_38":141,"_148":149,"_135":158,"_159":11},{"_40":142,"_42":143,"_45":46,"_47":48,"_49":11,"_50":51,"_52":53,"_54":144,"_57":35,"_32":33,"_58":59,"_60":44,"_61":62,"_63":64,"_65":66,"_67":-5,"_68":62,"_69":70,"_71":11,"_72":33,"_73":145,"_79":11,"_80":147,"_85":33,"_86":87},[],[44],[56],{"_75":11,"_76":146},[78],{"_82":21,"_83":11,"_84":11},"tags",{"_150":64,"_151":-5,"_152":-5,"_153":154},"count","next","previous","results",[155],{"_92":44,"_93":94,"_95":96,"_97":98,"_99":156,"_50":117,"_118":94,"_119":33,"_120":56,"_57":121,"_122":123,"_124":108,"_125":117,"_126":66,"_127":21},[157],{"_102":103,"_104":105,"_106":48,"_107":108,"_109":110,"_111":112,"_113":48,"_114":-5,"_115":96,"_63":66,"_116":-5},[],"canDeleteTags","actionData","errors"]
