A lightweight, ready-to-run Docker image for mining Monero (XMR) using **XMRig**—the high-performance, open-source miner.

## 🧪 Test It
Launch a basic miner instance with default settings:
```bash
docker run -d --restart unless-stopped -it deewhy/monero_miner /xmrig/build/xmrig
⚠️ This will mine to the default pool (
pool.supportxmr.com:443) using a built-in test wallet. Do not rely on this for real mining.
Start mining to your own wallet with a custom worker name:
docker run -d --restart unless-stopped --name xmrminer -it deewhy/monero_miner \
/xmrig/build/xmrig -u YOUR_MONERO_WALLET -p YOUR_WORKER_NAME
Replace:
YOUR_MONERO_WALLET with your actual Monero address.YOUR_WORKER_NAME with a friendly identifier (e.g., rig-01).By default, XMRig connects to:
-o pool.supportxmr.com:443
For full control over mining settings, use the XMRig Configuration Wizard to generate a config file, then mount it into the container:
You can also use the ultra-light Alpine-based image (smaller footprint):
docker run -d --restart unless-stopped --name xmrminer -it deewhy/monero_miner:alpine \
/xmrig/build/xmrig -u YOUR_MONERO_WALLET -p YOUR_WORKER_NAME
