⁠Telegram Chat ID Fetcher

A lightweight CLI tool to get the Telegram channel or group chat ID using a bot token.

⁠Usage

docker run --rm demsking/telegram-chatid-fetcher --token <BOT_TOKEN> --username <CHANNEL_OR_GROUP_USERNAME>

Options

• --token (required): Telegram bot token
• --username (required): Target channel or group username (e.g. @mychannel)
• --message (optional): Custom message text (default: .)

The tool prints the chat ID or an error message if the request fails.

⁠Requirements

• Bot must be admin in the target channel or group.
