devrvk/reconizerx-docker repository overview

ReconizeX Docker Image Usage Guide

This README provides instructions on how to use the reconizerx-docker images to analyze Android APKs with ReconizeX. The images are available on Docker Hub for both arm64 and amd64 architectures. Below, you'll find steps to pull the images, ensure the required directories exist, place your APK file, and run the analysis, along with the output details.

Prerequisites

  • Docker: Ensure Docker is installed and running on your system.
  • Input and Output Directories: You’ll need to create input and output directories in your current working directory.
  • APK File: Have an Android APK file (e.g., diva-beta.apk) ready to analyze.

Pulling the Docker Images

The reconizerx-docker images are hosted on Docker Hub under the repository devrvk/reconizerx-docker. Two tags are available:

  • arm64: For ARM-based systems (e.g., Apple Silicon Macs).
  • amd64: For x86_64-based systems (e.g., Intel/AMD processors).

Pull the image that matches your system’s architecture using one of these commands:

For ARM64 Systems
docker pull devrvk/reconizerx-docker:arm64
For AMD64 Systems
docker pull devrvk/reconizerx-docker:amd64

Setting Up the Environment

  1. Ensure Input and Output Directories Exist:

    • In your current working directory, create the input and output directories if they don’t already exist:
      mkdir input output

  2. Place the APK in the Input Directory:

    • Copy or move your APK file (e.g., diva-beta.apk) into the input directory. For example:
      cp /path/to/diva-beta.apk input/

Running the Analysis

Use the following commands to run the Docker container and analyze the APK. The container will read the APK from the input directory and write the results to the output directory.

Run Command for ARM64 Systems
docker run -v $(pwd)/input:/input -v $(pwd)/output:/output devrvk/reconizerx-docker:arm64 diva-beta.apk
Run Command for AMD64 Systems
docker run -v $(pwd)/input:/input -v $(pwd)/output:/output devrvk/reconizerx-docker:amd64 diva-beta.apk
  • Explanation:
    • -v $(pwd)/input:/input: Mounts the local input directory to /input in the container.
    • -v $(pwd)/output:/output: Mounts the local output directory to /output in the container.
    • devrvk/reconizerx-docker:arm64 or :amd64: Specifies the image tag for your architecture.
    • diva-beta.apk: The name of the APK file to analyze (replace with your APK’s filename).

Viewing the Output

Once the analysis is complete, check the output directory in your current working directory for the results. You’ll find files such as:

  • info.txt
  • low.txt
  • medium.txt
  • high.txt
  • non-info.txt

These files contain categorized findings from the ReconizeX analysis of your APK.

Additional Notes

Building the Images (Optional)

If you want to build the images yourself, use these commands:

  1. Log in to Docker Hub:

    docker login

  2. Build and Push for ARM64:

    docker build --platform linux/arm64 -t devrvk/reconizerx-docker:arm64 .
    docker push devrvk/reconizerx-docker:arm64

  3. Build and Push for AMD64:

    docker build --platform linux/amd64 -t devrvk/reconizerx-docker:amd64 .
    docker push devrvk/reconizerx-docker:amd64

Troubleshooting
  • Directory Not Found: Ensure the input and output directories exist before running the container.
  • APK Not Found: Verify the APK is in the input directory and matches the filename in the run command.
  • Permission Issues: If the container can’t write to output, adjust permissions (e.g., chmod 777 output).

For more details, refer to the ReconizeX documentation.

This guide should help you successfully pull and use the reconizerx-docker images to analyze your APKs. Let me know if you need further assistance!
