CSE — Custom Service Environment

versionsizelicense

The Custom Service Environment (CSE) is a runtime for custom service logic. Over the last several years it has grown as an open-source project with many deployments at BSS partners, and it is the CSE component of MEF.DEV deployments.

What it does

  • runs service logic as Service Logic Programs (SLP) — the specific capabilities are delivered as SLPs;
  • supports the DIAMETER, RADIUS, CAMEL/CAP, INAP and MAP protocols and a REST API;
  • the platform itself handles the protocol stacks, distribution across the cluster and the management of SLP instances, which gives massive parallelism.

In the original Intelligent Network (IN) terms, CSE is part of the Service Logic Execution Environment (SLEE) function — specifically, the Service Creation Environment (SCE).
