⁠kubectl (service image)

A service component of MEF.DEV⁠ deployments: a custom kubectl build for Kubernetes jobs that call the Kubernetes API. It is published in this public namespace so that a job can pull it without registry authentication — no image pull secret is needed in the cluster. It contains standard upstream tools only, no MEF.DEV code.

⁠Use in a job

The image has no entrypoint; pass the command. Inside a cluster, kubectl uses the job's service account:

Grant the job's service account only the RBAC permissions its command needs.

Not covered by the MEF.DEV Business Source License. The tools keep their upstream licences (kubectl and the other Kubernetes tools — Apache License 2.0); v1.28.6 is distributed unchanged under the licence of alpine-docker/k8s⁠ (MIT).
