⁠JOpt.TourOptimizer — C# / .NET REST Client Sandbox

A browser-based IDE (code-server⁠ / Visual Studio Code) with .NET and the latest JOpt.TourOptimizer C# REST client examples pre-installed. Start exploring the TourOptimizer REST API from C# without any local setup.

⁠Quick start

docker run -it -d \
  --name jopt-net-rest-examples \
  -p 127.0.0.1:8023:8080 \
  -v "$PWD/:/home/coder/project" \
  dnaevolutions/jopt_net_example_server:latest

Open http://localhost:8023⁠ and log in with password: joptrest

On the first launch the latest examples are cloned automatically into the mounted volume. On subsequent launches existing files are preserved.

System requirements: 2 GB RAM and 2 CPU cores minimum.

⁠What's inside

The container clones and runs examples from:

github.com/DNA-Evolutions/C-Sharp-REST-Client-Examples⁠

The examples demonstrate how to interact with the JOpt.TourOptimizer REST API from C# — submitting optimization jobs, reading results, streaming progress, and working with the full feature set via the generated OpenAPI client.

⁠Connecting to TourOptimizer

A running TourOptimizer instance is required to execute the examples. The easiest way to start one locally is:

docker run -d --rm --name jopt-touroptimizer \
  -p 8081:8081 \
  -e SPRING_PROFILES_ACTIVE=cors \
  dnaevolutions/jopt_touroptimizer:latest

From inside the sandbox, use http://host.docker.internal:8081 to reach TourOptimizer running on your host — no additional network configuration needed.
