dockeranay2310/taskflow-client repository overview

TaskFlow Client (Frontend)

The official frontend for TaskFlow, built with React (Vite).
This image uses a multi-stage Docker build to compile the React application and serve optimized static assets using a high-performance Nginx server.

⚡ Features

  • Ultra Lightweight: ~20MB final image size (based on nginx:alpine)
  • High Performance: Static assets served directly via Nginx
  • Production Ready: Optimized for speed and low memory usage
  • Configurable: Can run standalone or behind a reverse proxy

📦 How to Run

Best used as part of a full stack with a backend API.

services:
  client:
    image: dockeranay2310/taskflow-client:v1.0
    restart: always
    # Nginx runs internally on port 80
    expose:
      - "80"

expose makes the port available only inside the Docker network (recommended when using a reverse proxy or backend service)

Manual Run (UI Only)

To preview the UI without backend integration:

docker run -d -p 8080:80 dockeranay2310/taskflow-client:v1.0

Access the app at: 👉 http://localhost:8080

⚙️ Configuration

Web Server: Nginx

Internal Port: 80

Routing:

Serves index.html for root path

Supports React Router (SPA history mode)

⚠️ Note: This is a static frontend. To function fully, it must connect to a backend API. In production, place this container behind a reverse proxy to route /api requests to the backend service.

🏗 Architecture

This image is built using a multi-stage Docker build:

1️⃣ Builder Stage

Base Image: node:20-alpine

Installs dependencies

Runs npm run build

2️⃣ Production Stage

Base Image: nginx:alpine

Serves only the compiled dist/ directory
