⁠This image is designed for Windows system.

⁠To start using this image, you need below preconditions:

• To setup X server on windows for app GUI display

1. Install VcXsrv (https://sourceforge.net/projects/vcxsrv/⁠)
2. Setup VcXsrv by following the steps on this website: https://dev.to/darksmile92/run-gui-app-in-linux-docker-container-on-windows-host-4kde⁠
3. Launch VcXsrv

⁠Docker

1. Pull image from DockerHub docker pull qtimmylin/docker_experiment
2. Run and start container docker run -it --privileged -v /dev/shm:/dev/shm -e DISPLAY=[YOUR IP]:0.0 qtimmylin/docker_experiment // Use ipconfig to find your own IP here.
3. Type in "code" or "gitkraken" VSCode or GitKraken GUI will pop up on your windows desktop.

NOTICE All the changes you have done in the container will be gone once you have terminate the container. Therefore, I recommend you do not terminate your container once it's started.

A few tips:

• List out images ( to check image ID) docker image ls
• List out container (to check container ID) docker container ls -all
• Restart container docker restart [CONTAINER ID]
• Reuse (attach) exited container docker attach [CONTAINER ID]
• Stop container docker stop [CONTAINER ID]
• Remove image docker rmi [IMAGE ID]
• Remove container docker rm [CONTAINER ID]
• Remove all images FOR /f "tokens=*" %i IN ('docker ps -aq') DO docker rm %i
• Remove all containers FOR /f "tokens=*" %i IN ('docker images --format "{{.ID}}"') DO docker rmi %i
